In attempting to trap Jesus on the Sabbath, the Pharisees get caught in their own legalism. Jesus shows them that we are called to the heart of the Sabbath, to delight and rejoice in the Lord, not to turn our backs on those who need Him desperately. This sermon is based on Luke 14:1-6.
In Luke 13:31-35, Jesus declares his intent to finish his work in Jerusalem, not to be deterred by Herod or any other man. In the second part of this verse, Jesus laments the waywardness of Jerusalem.
